With summer just around the corner, it’s time to rip off the pool cover and get ready for some fun. At Ingenia Holiday Parks we’re all about fun times and lasting memories. That’s why we team up with Wahu to host ‘Spring into Summer’ pool parties at select parks each year. With games and prizes to be won, it’s the perfect excuse for a pre-Christmas holidays getaway.
We’ve thrown a few, so here are our top tips for hosting the perfect pool party.
Gather your crew
Some activities are best shared. When it comes to pool parties, the more, the merrier! So invite all your friends, dust off your togs and ready your towels for a day filled with fun and laughter.
Create the perfect pool party playlist
You’ll want a little music to get the party vibe going. Select your favourite summer tunes to create the perfect playlist. If you’re short on time or inspiration, choose from the many compilations available on Spotify and Apple Music. Before you know it, you’ll be walking on sunshine!
Pool party accessories
There’s more to pool parties than swimming, floating and diving. If you want a change from pool noodles and water guns, up the ante with a range of great Wahu pool party accessories. From Ripper Dipper pool slides and skim balls to dive stix and pool pet racers you’ll find plenty of options for kids. Don’t worry, they’ve got adults sorted too. Did someone say pool pong?
Pool party games
Whether its kids vs kids, kids vs adults or family vs family tap into your competitive spirit and add a little excitement with some pool party games. In the water, floating musical chairs adds a new twist to an old favourite. Or put those pool accessories to good use with pool pet races, diving competitions, tube wars and more. Poolside, try beach ball bowling using pool noodles to create your lane.
Pool party hunger busters
What better way to feed the party crew than with a good old Aussie BBQ. Throw a few snags and burgers on the grill, toss a salad, butter some buns and lunch is sorted. For snack throughout the day you can’t go wrong with dips and chips (or carrot sticks and cucumber if you want to be healthy). Watermelon slices make a refreshing treat too!
Pool party thirst quenchers
It’s thirsty work partying all day, even if you’re in the pool. Be sure to have some juice boxes and plenty of water on hand. Icy poles are a great thirst-quenching alternative the kids will love. And we’re sure you don’t need tips on grown-up drinks!
