One of Australia’s largest network of holiday parks is offering ”Australia’s Greatest Working Holiday” to encourage adventure-seeking backpackers, grey nomads and university students to satisfy their travel yearning while still earning this summer.
Amid a spike in summer holiday bookings, Ingenia Holiday Parks has more than 300 summer casual roles up for grabs at their iconic parks along Australia’s eastern seaboard.
With jobs in Australian tourism having increased by more than 21,000 in the June 2022 quarter compared to the previous quarter[1], the call for summer casuals comes as bookings soar at the holiday parks, with more than 200,000 guests expected to stay at Ingenia Holiday Parks this summer.
Ingenia Holiday Parks General Manager Tourism Matthew Young said there were a variety of exciting roles available across all 45 parks from the Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland to the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to work in some of Australia’s greatest holiday destinations, with roles available at some of our most iconic locations including Cairns and Noosa in Queensland, One Mile Beach and Nambucca Heads in New South Wales and Torquay and Phillip Island in Victoria,” Mr Young said.
“From housekeeping, food and beverage attendants and guest experience officers, to waterpark attendants, kids club coordinators and grounds and maintenance supervisors, there are plenty of jobs up for grabs.”
With last week’s Census Snapshot of Australia reporting 66.9 per cent of people were located in Greater Capital Cities[2], Ingenia Holiday Parks General Manager People and Culture Kristy Minter said the job vacancies were perfect for backpackers with working visas, grey nomads and students looking to enjoy the regions. “Working at Ingenia Holiday Parks is the epitome of the great Australian working holiday where you can make memories and money, whilst enjoying a great adventure,” Ms. Minter said.
“The opportunity not only offers experience in the thriving tourism sector, but Ingenia Holiday Parks also offers a number of perks including a comprehensive discounts and rewards program, flexible hours and shifts, and the opportunity to work across several parks – perfect for the traveller.
“Potential applicants will also have the chance to work for an Australian company, helping to make our guests feel at home while making their own summer holiday memories.”
Bookings are rising across Australia with families locking in a much sought-after quick trip or coastal holiday, with many holiday destinations now filling up well into next year.
“Everyone is looking forward to their holidays and there are a lot of people who are due for a much-needed break,” Mr Young said.
“With 45 parks along the east coast, we have great experiences for travellers of all ages and interests – from the epic Splash Waterpark at Cairns Coconut in Queensland and whale watching at Byron Bay, to experiencing the world-class surf in Torquay – there really is something for everyone at Ingenia Holiday Parks.”
